TOP LEGAL PROCESS OUTSOURCING COMPANY WORLDWIDE – 2009

Clutch Group was ranked as the Top Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) company for the second consecutive year in the 2009 Black Book of Outsourcing Top Vendors survey, conducted by the outsourcing research consultant firm Brown-Wilson Group.

The Black Book of Outsourcing is widely recognized as the most comprehensive and objective survey of global outsourcing services. For the 2009 edition, nearly 24,000 client surveys were analyzed to rank 4,839 outsourcing vendors in various industries. Survey questions covered C-level commitment, human capital performance, corporate direction and leadership impact, as well as questions on accountability, trust, and transparency that were new for 2009.

“This year’s expanded survey questionnaire offers even greater insights into the performance of leading LPOs, making it even more impressive for Clutch Group to retain the top spot,” said Scott Wilson, Partner of Brown-Wilson Group.


TOP 50 BEST MANAGED GLOBAL OUTSOURCERS – 2009

Clutch Group was rated among the “Top 50 Best Managed Global Outsourcers” in the Black Book of Outsourcing’s 2009 “State of the Outsourcing Industry Report,” an unbiased, client experience survey completed by over 24,000 participants. The poll marks the Black Book’s seventh consecutive year of collecting data on the outsourcing industry. The report recognizes companies of all sizes in the technology and services sectors. Within the Top 50, Clutch Group was joined by some of the world’s most established and successful companies including HCL, IBM, Xerox, Accenture, EDS and CSC.


TOP LEGAL PROCESS OUTSOURCING COMPANY WORLDWIDE – 2008

Clutch Group was rated the top Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) company worldwide for 2008 in a survey of 80 LPO companies conducted by the Brown-Wilson Group, an outsourcing consultant firm and publisher of The Black Book of Outsourcing. In addition to its overall number one ranking, Clutch Group was named Top Vendor in the categories of discovery and litigation support, legal analytics, and due diligence.

The annual Brown-Wilson outsourcing survey is the professions most extensive and representative study of outsourcing vendors. Data is collected for the Black Book in a three-step process covering 26 leadership and management performance areas, with ratings based on 18 operational performance and 20 consultative excellence indicators.

The Black Book survey analyzed 300 contracts held by 1200 of the top-spending law firms, investment banks, capital market and conglomerate corporations globally. Findings revealed that the most important customer satisfaction key performance indicators were client relationship, cultural fit, trust and IT sophistication. The survey also evaluated companies on performance in document review, contract management, commercial real estate services, compliance and legal research services.


TOP LEGAL PROCESS OUTSOURCING COMPANY – 2008 D&B

Clutch Group was named a market-leading Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) Company in Dun & Bradstreet’s 2008 report on India’s Top ITeS and BPO Companies. The annual publication, which highlights the major achievements in the ITeS and BPO sectors and their major growth drivers, is an important resource for major corporations considering their outsourcing options. The report’s listing parameters were employee size, revenue, industry verticals and locations. Information was also gathered from a variety of sources, including industry associations, government agencies and business directories.

In addition to showcasing the top performers in the industry, the survey gave insight into the future growth of the ITeS and BPO sectors. “Opportunities do exist in the form of emerging verticals such as KPOs, LPOs, and EPOs,” Dun & Bradstreet-India CEO Manoj Vaish wrote. “Globally, outsourcing is now a critical part of a company’s strategy for cost saving, flexibility, operational excellence and reliability for achieving higher growth and profitability.”


HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL CASE STUDY

On December 10, 2008, Dr. Daniel Isenberg of Harvard Business School published a case study entitled “Clutch Group–Should Abhi Shah Grab This Opportunity?” The case study was the basis of Isenberg’s 2008-2009 international entrepreneurship MBA class and was made available for similar classes at business schools around the world. NYU’s Stern School of Business, Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and some business schools in Europe are among those using the case study in their courses.

The case study centers on Abhi Shah, Clutch Group’s CEO and co-founder, as he navigated an entrepreneurial opportunity after his graduation from Harvard Business School. Isenberg described Clutch Group’s formation and business model as “an interesting case for my students because it illustrates how advisory boards, management teams and investors work in tandem toward common goals, even when individual opinions might differ.” The Harvard professor further noted, “It also serves as an interesting example of an innovative business model for a global venture.”

Shah participated in extensive interviews with Dr. Isenberg to develop the study, providing financial data and historical information and engaging in in-depth personal interviews. Mr. Shah was invited to Dr. Isenberg’s Harvard Business school class for the case debut and answered numerous questions from the students.


ISO/IEC 27001:2005 CERTIFICATION

In October 2008, Clutch Group received its certification for ISO/IEC 27001:2005, the information security management system standard published by the International Organization for Standardization. Through this certification Clutch Group has established that its Bangalore operations comply with the stringent requirements for establishing and monitoring data security and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of client information. Compliance with ISO 27001:2005 ensures business continuity and reduces the prospect of business loss by preventing and minimizing the impact of security incidents.

As part of the certification process, the Bangalore offices of Clutch Group were assessed by external auditor Det Norske Veritas-India, which independently audited the company on over 120 parameters, including project delivery, technology, infrastructure, human resources and internal finance.


COMPLIANCE WITH EUROPEAN UNION (EU) SAFE HARBOR GUIDELINES

In October 2008, Clutch Group was certified for compliance with the European Union (EU) Safe Harbor Guidelines. The EU Safe Harbor Framework was developed by the U.S. Department of Commerce in consultation with the European Commission. Compliance with this framework certifies that Clutch Group has implemented the necessary measures to secure and protect data it receives.
