Hybrid Domestic/Offshore Document Review
Clutch Group assists AmLaw Top 10 law firm with multi-jurisdictional Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) review.
The Challenge
A large international law firm was faced with a multi-jurisdictional review of millions of documents. The review included documents in a variety of languages, including English, Russian, Portuguese and Chinese.
Our Solution
The law firm retained Clutch Group to assist with staffing the review project. This decision was based on a strong reference identifying Clutch Group as the best domestic staffing agency in the U.S. Clutch Group was hired to replace another U.S. staffing agency because of its competitive rates, low attrition rates, and high quality attorneys
The Clutch Group review team responsible for this project consisted of up to 110 U.S. contract attorneys working in tandem with 30 members of the company’s permanent attorney staff in Bangalore. The team was responsible for the ongoing review of millions of documents from multiple jurisdictions. The scope of the project consistently expanded, requiring Clutch Group to assign and train new team members within a day or less on multiple occasions.
By applying its process-driven domestic/offshore review methodology to this project, the new Clutch Group team in India exceeded the client’s productivity benchmarks by over 10% within two weeks. As documents from additional jurisdictions were added to the project, the additional India teams began exceeding productivity benchmarks within two days. As a result, Clutch Group yielded the client offshore cost savings of more than $500,000 in five months.
