Bill Robertson

Director, Legal Services

Bill Robertson is the Director of Legal Services. In this role, Mr. Robertson is responsible for supervision of Managed Review and overseeing delivery of all domestic legal services, including our discovery practice. In addition to management of large e-discovery response teams, he often advises on response strategy, quality assurance, selection of document review and analytical tools, compliance, design and implementation of protocols and processes, budgeting, and risk mitigation.

Mr. Robertson joined Clutch Group after six years of practice within the securities group at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP. His experience spans all phases of the e-discovery process, from the moment of data preservation through collection, processing, review, and production. His responsibilities included coordination of attorneys, paralegals, litigation technology project managers, vendors, and third party counsel to leverage work product, facilitate case assessment, manage productivity, and enhance quality. While at WilmerHale, Mr. Robertson played an integral role in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of e-discovery data platforms and in the development and evolution of best practices in the areas of quality control and review management. His clients have included multinational corporations, financial institutions, and accounting firms subject to investigation by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, New York Stock Exchange, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Congress, state attorneys general, and other regulatory entities.

Mr. Robertson earned his JD, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law and also holds a BS, cum laude, from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service.

Mr. Robertson was raised in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and spent a year living abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Madrid, Spain. He and his wife reside in Fairfax, Virginia, with their four children.
